Dedicated Run TeamRecruiting advertisement will officially be sent out to various Military Units/Groups during the week of 20 May, 2019. California Run for the Fallen is searching for approximately 34 Active Duty personnel of any branch of service to be the core Run Team that will run the entire 150 miles. The 34 personnel will be divided into 17 two-person teams. The 11 October 2019 run will only need three teams. During the next two days each two-person team will run 6 miles on 12 and 13 October 2019. Run Team personnel must run a 6 mile pace of LESS than a 9 minute mile. If a minimum 9 minute pace is not kept, personnel will be relieved from that days event.
For the Friday and Saturday night stop over; We will use a reverse Run Team schedule. Meaning, the last 3-5 run teams on Friday and Saturday will be the first 3-5 Run Teams starting on Saturday and Sunday morning respectfully. This will greatly reduce our logistical support and nightly accommodation cost. Run Teams designated as "Stop Over" will be provided Friday and Saturday night accommodations. Run Team participants will receive a Friday and Saturday night meal provided by a local community group. Run Team participants will be provided event T-shirts.
