The 5K Walk/Run (Honor the CA Fallen) Route

The 5K run and/or walk will start at a designated location within the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.  Participants will begin the run/walk at the 5K start point. Prior to the Run Team entering the cemetery, at the end of the 5K, walkers and runners will meet at a pre-determined location just outside the cemetery so that everyone can enter the cemetery at the same time and participate in the closing ceremonies. Closing ceremonies will be conducted inside the cemetery at the Flag Assembly Area.

• Check In/last minute Registration for the 5K is from 1:00-1:45 PM at the cemetery  
• Participants will make their way to the starting point at 2:00 PM

3heck In Information

Check in for participants will begin on Sunday, 13 October, 2019 at 12:30 PM at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery. During check in, participants will be given a 24" flag with a card of a fallen hero's biography.  The flag is for one of the remaining California Fallen that was not able to be posted on the 150-mile run but will be posted in The Field of Flags in a designated area of the cemetery. The flag can be placed prior to the 5K event or can be carried during the walk/run and placed in the Field of Flags afterwards. 

After check in, all participants will gather at the 5K start point at approximately 2:00 PM.
